The first step is simply getting in touch. Complete our online enquiry form or contact the admissions team directly by email or phone. We will respond within two working days to answer your initial questions and outline the next steps.
You are also welcome to visit the school in person or arrange a virtual tour before submitting a formal application. Many families find that seeing the school first makes the rest of the process feel much more straightforward. We actively encourage prospective families to come and experience the school before they commit.
-
Once you are ready to proceed, complete the formal application form and submit it along with the required supporting documents. Our admissions team will confirm receipt promptly and be in touch to arrange the next stage.
Required documents:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Copies of most recent school reports, where applicable
- Parent or guardian’s national ID or passport
- Recent passport-sized photograph of your child
- Any relevant medical or educational support information
If you have any questions about the documentation required, our team is happy to help.

For most year groups, we invite families for a brief assessment visit. This is an informal, relaxed session designed to help us understand your child’s current stage of learning and to identify the right year group placement.
This is not a competitive entrance examination. There is no pass or fail. It is simply a chance for us to begin a relationship with your child and to make sure Finland International School Maldives is the right environment for them. We encourage you to ask questions and take the opportunity to see the school through your child’s eyes.
For families who are not yet in the Maldives, we can arrange this stage remotely where needed.
-
If a place is available and the school is the right fit, we will make a formal offer in writing. To accept the offer and secure your child’s place, you will be asked to:
- Pay the registration fee
- Complete and sign the enrolment agreement
- Confirm your child’s intended start date
We will then send a welcome pack with everything you need to prepare for your child’s first day. Our team will be in touch in advance of that day to make sure both you and your child feel fully ready.
